Belchertown Post 239 built a 9-1 lead after two innings and held on, edging Sheffield Post 340 for an 11-9 win in an American Legion Senior Division baseball game Monday night at War Memorial Field in Sheffield.

A combined no-hitter from Josh Misiaszek and Ryan Gould, and 10 hits on offense propelled the Belchertown Post 239 Senior American Legion baseball team to a dominant 9-1 victory over Aldenville Post 337 in a rematch of last year’s District 3 title game on Monday evening at Belchertown High School. The victory marked Post 239’s third in a row.

In a rivalry bout with the Western Massachusetts Suburban Baseball League 14U championship on the line, it was Northampton that struck early and never looked back – earning a wire-to-wire 6-1 victory over Amherst on Saturday to claim the title.
For the third time in four games to open the 2025 American Legion season, Northampton Post 28 picked up a victory on Friday night.

BELCHERTOWN — The Belchertown Post 239 Senior American Legion team improved to 2-0 on the season, with its latest victory coming in walk-off fashion in extra innings on Wednesday evening at Belchertown High School.
Maceo Nteta and Dylan Lawrence-Riddell led the way for a potent Northampton offense on Monday evening at Legion Field in a 14U baseball matchup with Palmer, as the duo combined for six hits and seven RBI. That strong one-two punch helped Northampton defeat Palmer 20-4 in decisive fashion.

For the last two years, the Belchertown Post 239 Senior American Legion team has been the cream of the crop in Western Massachusetts. Post 239 breezed through their regular season schedule without a loss in 2024 before earning a 6-5 win in the District 3 championship over Aldenville Post 337 for their second consecutive title.

WESTHAMPTON — Jacob Sicard made quick work of No. 39 Roxbury Prep in the top of the first inning, and after Zach Phakos smashed a two-run home run in the bottom half of the frame, the party was on in Westhampton.
